CLAY MAKING

Measure out crushed Hebron clay, contaminated with coal and scoria.

Crushed clay slaked down in water.

Wet clay (slake for one week) scooped and screened (40 mesh).

Cleaned clay ready to be de-wetted.

A weekly rotation: 2 buckets slaked clay, 2 buckets screened clay.

Plaster tables ready for a new batch of screened clay.
